Iterate Design
Week 6 Overview
Learning Objectives
Students will share their projects with another group to get feedback on their design. They will incorporate this feedback to iterate their design and create a sketch of a final design solution. Students will need to take a picture of their design to upload the EDPL.
Before the Lesson
Explain 15 min
Students will share their projects with another group to get feedback on their design. They will note the feedback for inclusion in their design.
Extend 30 min
Conceptual Design 3
Work with your group to create Conceptual Design 3. Your final design should be detailed, and include dimensions (Width x Length x Height) and labels for each portion of their system. If needed, add specific details of “zoomed in” subsystems.
Your design solution should include:
- A compound biological analogy of 2 or more elements
- Feedback from at least one other team or the teacher
- Alignment with design solution requirements
- Changes made as a result of information from prototyping and testing
This 3rd design will be used as part of your final presentation.
EDPL 10 min
Upload your conceptual design 3 to the EDPL “Ideate” tab. Add any Research Notes, if needed.
