Weeks 1-2

Students are introduced to the Engineering Design Process (EDP) and Biologically Inspired Design (BID) concept. Each step of the EDP is modeled through a design challenge to solve the problem of dirty shoes. Students will understand the importance of  documenting their notes throughout the design process, and will use handouts to do so. On the last day of the Launcher, students are introduced to the EDPL, and will add their notes to learn how to use the program.
