The focus of Unit 2 is solution-driven BID. Unit 2 begins with Biology, specifically looking to nature for inspiration. This week, teachers will review BID + Engineering tools and processes by modeling an example with a grasshopper. Teachers use the tools introduced in Unit 1 to aid students in understanding and analysis of organisms (SFM), derive problem specifications (4-Box), and document the engineering design process (EDPL).

Important: Students should save all completed handouts, sketches, brainstorming, notes, and prototypes as this will be the basis for their Engineering Design Process Log (EDPL).
